The Group Fitness program at Healthtrax is designed to provide you with energizing cardiovascular workouts, effective resistance training routines and a balance of invigorating yet relaxing mind body classes. Delivered by some of the best instructors in the industry, our Group Fitness classes are fun and innovative and will have you reaching new levels in health and wellness.

Group Fitness Class Descriptions
Aqua Classes
Aqua Kick: Take the power fun and energy of a traditional kick boxing class and combine it with the resistance of the water to experience an invigorating class that will challenge your muscles while increasing strength and endurance.
Aqua Fitness: An energizing, low impact water fitness class that combines both strength training and cardiovascular conditioning exercises that will challenge your muscles and increase your strength.
Aqua Arthritis: A gentle water based class designed specifically for members with arthritis, chronic pain, and /or other joint injuries.
Aqua Core: A core training workout designed in the water to improve abdominal and back strength as well as balance. Designed for all fitness levels.
Aqua Tai Chi: Use the natural properties of the water to increase your flexibility, range of motion, muscle strength and well being. A water-based class that is similar to Tai Chi You will relax as you focus on proper breathing, alignment, and fluid movement.
Aqua Silver: This class is designed for those who need gentler and milder movements in the water. Water movements focus on walking, gentle range of motion exercise, strength and balance work. It is great for beginners, non-exercisers, non-swimmers, and those new to the aqua environment. Flotation belts and noodles are often used.
SilverSneakers® SilverSplash: Activate your aqua exercise urge for variety! SilverSplash® offers LOTS of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required, and a special SilverSneakers® kickboard is used to develop strength, balance and coordination.
Family Swim: The whole family is invited to use the pool during this time. Parents or guardians must supervise children under the age of 18.
Lap Swim: Adults have the opportunity to use the lap pool.

Mind/Body
Mat Pilates: Redefine yourself through this core strengthening class designed to improve flexibility, coordination, and posture as well as body alignment and breathing.
Pilates Fusion: Center your energy, remove stress, and revitalize your mind as you experience the class that combines the basic elements of a Pilates mat class with various yoga moves and postures.
Yoga: A unique way to integrate mind, body, and spirit, without force or competitiveness. Helps to develop muscle tone and improve physical condition while promoting flexibility and relaxation.
Beginner/Gentle Yoga: This milder yoga class is designed for the new yoga student or participants with joint restrictions or limitations.
Power Yoga: Take your yoga to another level through Power Yoga! This class features a flowing sequence of poses linked with breath that invigorate your mind and challenge your muscles while simultaneously building stamina, flexibility and greater strength. Experience a supercharged version of yoga energy while getting a tremendous workout.
Mat Science: Mat science is a progressive series of exercises, derived from yoga, dance, and rehab conditioning that accommodates all fitness levels to increase strength, flexibility and balance of the entire body.
Meditation: Learn techniques to relax the body, quiet the mind, and elevate your mood. Using the trained powers of concentration, you will learn to suspend the stream of thoughts that normally occupy the mind and become more aware of the present moment. Helps to reduce stress and improve concentration and focus.
Tai Chi: Tai chi is the most famous Chinese martial art style. It consists of fluid, gentle and graceful circular movements. These physical exercises are designed especially for self-defense and meditation.
Silver Sneakers® YogaStretch: YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Cycle
Cycle Clinic : An introduction to Group Cycling that will help you learn the basics including your own personal settings. Please sign up at the front desk.
Cycle (30,45,60,75,90): This cycling class utilizes high energy music and a motivating, non-competitive group environment to create a stronger, leaner body. No complicated moves and low impact pedaling allows anyone who can ride a bike to burn calories and have fun. The numbers in intervals of 15 indicate the time in minutes.

Cardio
Step: This class uses a step platform and high energy music to improve cardiovascular fitness and strengthen the lower body. Step can combine high and low impact moves and is a great alternative to traditional cardio classes.
Double Step: Time to step it up a notch?Geared for the experienced stepper, this choreographed cardiovascular class combines moves performed on two steps. Its step – times two!
Step & Sculpt: This class takes the dynamics of cardiovascular conditioning combined with the many elements of strength for a total body workout using the step platform.
Group Step: Discover new heights with Group Step®! Utilizing the step in many positions and heights, this compelling 60-minute cardio program strengthens and shapes the lower body one step at a time. Energetic music and motivating instructors create this spunky group experience. Step this way with Group Step.

Boot Camp: Challenge yourself with this circuit style class that will increase both muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance. No fancy choreography, just skills and drills to increase your speed , agility, strength, and stamina.
Cardio Blast: Blast off with this high-energy class incorporating a combination of high and low impact moves to optimize your cardiovascular conditioning. Each class is set to motivating music that will get your heart pumping and your body moving.
Kickboxing: Brings it on! This stimulating 60 minute class includes a complete upper and lower body cardio class using basic martial arts and boxing movements to improve overall endurance.
Interval Training: Challenge yourself with this class that will increase muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance. No fancy choreography, just skills and drills that will increase your speed, agility, strength, and stamina.
Fit for Life: Whether you’re new to fitness, returning to exercise, or want a lighter approach, this class will combine all the benefits of strength, cardio, flexibility, and balance with fun, easy to follow gentle fitness movements.
Cardio Contact: Get ready to burn fat, increase strength, endurance, speed, and agility with this high-energy cardio/boxing class. Classic boxing moves on the bag mixed with a fusion of bootcamp cardio and martial arts takes you to the other side. We provide the bag you bring the gloves, water, and a towel.
Cardio Dance: This easy to follow dance class incorporates high and low impact dance moves for a great cardiovascular workout. The style of dance moves and choice of music varies by instructor.
Group Groove: If you can move, you can Groove. You'll stomp, flick, wiggle, hip, hop, snap, shimmy, shake, slide, glide, smile and laugh your way through this 60 minute fitness dance program. Experience a fusion of club, urban and Latin dance styles with motivating chart topping hits and retro classic tunes. Supportive, funky, easy going instructors help you Get A Move On! with Group Groove.

SilverSneakers® Cardio Circuit: Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises.
Group Kick: Group Kick® brings it on! This electric 60 minute fusion class of martial arts and boxing movements will kick your cardio fitness to the next level while defining and shaping your body and self confidence! Energetic music, awesome instructors and a group environment will keep you punching, kicking and smiling! Group Kick will knock you out!

Zumba: Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music and dance themes that creates a dynamic, exciting and motivating workout. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements combined with easy to follow dance steps.

Core Stability
Just the Core: A workout designed to improve the strength of your abdominals and low back.
On the Ball: A class that challenges your strength and balance, through a series of exercises performed on the stability ball.
Bosu: A class that focuses on strength and balance using the Bosu Balance Trainer. The BOSU® Balance Trainer is a unique balance and core stability training device that can be integrated with all types of fitness training, or stand alone as a functional conditioning tool.

Strength
Muscle Challenge: Develop muscular strength and endurance as well as functional movements using a variety of controlled exercises. Weights, tubing, bands and bars will be used to develop and strengthen the entire body.
Group Power: Group Power is your hour of power! This 60-minute barbell program will strengthen all your major muscles in an inspiring, motivating group environment with fantastic music and awesome instructors. Simple, athletic movements make this a class for all ages and abilities.

SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Latin Funk
Line Dancing: Learn easy moves that get you in tune and in step in this simple, easy and very fun form of exercise! Even if you have never line danced before - the classes are set up to help you have a great time from the word "go". Class format includes warm-up, line dancing, cool-down and stretch. This class is great for all fitness levels.
Nia: The Nia Technique - a unique cardiovascular movement class with a holistic approach blending martial arts, dance arts and healing arts using empowering music, visualizations, sound and grounded energy to feed the body. All fitness abilities welcome to this 24-year-old movement practice. Nia is a cardiovascular workout from the worlds of the healing arts, martial arts, and dance.
Jazzercise: Choreographed dance routines set to music to keep you motivated and having fun. This program is designed to enhance cardiovascular endurance, strength, and flexibility. Taught only by certified Jazzercise instructors.
