National American Diabetes Awareness

November is National American Diabetes Awareness month and Healthtrax wants to encourage you to know your risk factors and control what is controllable for your health. As a fitness provider it is also our responsibility to educate the community on the benefits of regular exercise and proper nutrition.  The impact of weight management is widely known to positively impact your health for disease prevention and management. Knowledge is power over your health. Healthtrax provides each member with a complimentary Healthy Start consultation conducted by a certified Trax Trainer to review your potential health risks, physical limitations and establish reasonable achievable fitness goals. Additionally, we obtain scientifically sound quantitative baselines through a full body scan using a state-of-the-art body composition device called InBody570.

You will receive a report showing important physiological data of what is going on inside your body that you can’t see just from looking in the mirror. This muscular skeleton snapshot is a real eye opener for the extreme athlete to the non-exerciser. You will learn muscle to fat ratio; bone density; muscular imbalance and Body Mass Index (BMI) and will have a new found level of inspiration for a starting point for goal setting and a baseline to compare your progression over the course of your regular exercise and nutrition regime. Motivation to move comes from many different sources. Maybe knowing your numbers and working with a fitness pro on a plan is just what has been missing in your life?
