Brady’s story:

Brady began his fitness journey weighing 330lbs. He didn’t feel healthy and knew he had to make a change.  He stated, “I became self-aware after gaining 40lbs in one year.”  Brady was determined to make a lifestyle change and reverse his weight gain trend.  He said, “I had to learn how to eat right.  Knowing and modifying what you’re eating is a big part of being healthy.”  He set simple, small obtainable goals initially.  His first fitness goal was to do an hour of cardio each week even if it was in 5-10 minute increments.  He now does an hour cardio each day and says it’s enjoyable!  Brady has lost over 130lbs!

Today, Brady’s goals include maintaining his current weight and living a healthy lifestyle.  A typical workout is an hour of cardio which includes the treadmill, elliptical and basketball.  He includes strength training using free weights, machines, crossfit and bootcamp workouts.  Brady said, “I’m always switching it up.  You need to have a good balance.”

When asked how he fits exercise into his busy schedule, Brady replied, “Make sure you have a plan in place.  Stick with it.  Schedule your workouts like a meeting.  It’s scheduled… It’s work.” He stays motivated by looking at old photos.  It makes him want to keep the weight off.  He is determined to “never go back to what he was.”

Regarding Healthtrax Trainers, Brady advises, “Listen to the trainer.  There’s a reason they are a trainer.  They help to set goals specific to you.  This is what they do.  You don’t go to a mechanic for advice on stocks.”
